annes is studying International Business Administration in his second semester at the BSP in Hamburg and supported us for two months as a marketing intern. In this blog article, he gives us a little insight into one of his working days with us.

7:00 a.m.

It’s Monday, my alarm clock rings at 7:00 a.m. Since I need some time to get up, my morning routine starts later when I get ready and have breakfast. My breakfast consists of yoghurt, oatmeal, cinnamon and fruit, like every morning. Afterwards, I set off on my motor scooter to Hammerbrook.

9:00 a.m.

When I arrive at the office, my working day begins. I usually find a seat in the open workspace, greet all my colleagues straight away and then read the emails and messages I’ve received. In the afternoon, I have a meeting with Inga, the marketing manager, and Tina, who looks after the social media channels. We want to talk about the graphic design platform Canva, so I go through my notes and prepare myself. We’re also in the middle of preparing for one of our customer events. I’ve tested the printing of name badges for this and right after that we have our jour fixe. This is our team meeting that takes place every Monday. This time, I’m presenting a new SharePoint feature together with Julia, another marketing colleague.

Then it’s already lunch break and we eat together in the sports bar. The topic of conversation today is the martial arts hobby of a colleague. Afterwards I play table football with a colleague.

After the lunch break, I prepare a presentation for the upcoming customer event and look for suitable images. Then, together with Julia, I pack a parcel with equipment for the customer event, which we send to our office in Frankfurt. Then it’s time for the Canva meeting. It was successful and I arrange a new meeting to introduce the tool to the rest of the team. Finally, I write a text for a LinkedIn post on cybersecurity that my colleague Lara had requested.

6:00 p.m.

After work I go shopping and then cook for the next few days, this time I make lentil curry. I go to football training, after which I shower there and play a round of darts with my team. Afterwards I drive home and go to bed at 10:30 pm.

„I can only warmly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about doing an internship here. You have a great team here that supports you and many diverse tasks.“
