Structure of an DNS layer security

  • Size: 15.000 Employees

The aim was to create a centralised instance from which IT security could be managed holistically. The first step was to provide the customer with strategic advice and support. A conceptual and visual strategy was then developed in which the technical solution for the implementation of DNS layer security was presented. Following joint consultation, this solution was implemented and continued to be operated. The new DNS layer security solution now represents the first line of defence towards the Internet.

Our client’s CISO was given the internal task of implementing the IT security requirements in accordance with NIS2 and ISO27001 in a future-proof manner. In an interview format, we were able to determine the current status and interrelationships of the customer’s IT landscape. Our detailed risk analysis enabled us to analyse the IT security and identify weaknesses. As consultants, we create a long-term IT security strategy that enables the customer to fulfil all requirements.

Building a holistic it security strategy

The aim of the project is to create a holistic IT security strategy. As the basis for the strategy, we created a current IT security risk analysis during a workshop. Based on a GAP analysis, we were able to identify gaps and weaknesses and determine the maturity level. Based on this, we drew up a catalogue of measures to increase IT security at our customer. We are currently in the design phase for setting up an attack detection system. Further implementation is already planned.
