As part of our “Digital Operating Room” project, we have equipped 43 operating theatres at a hospital with a cutting-edge digital infrastructure – this is the largest project of its kind in Europe. The solution enables live streaming directly from the operating theatre for educational and interdisciplinary consultations, as well as high-quality recordings for documentation and quality assurance. Medical teams, students and experts can be connected across different locations via platforms such as Webex, Microsoft Teams or Zoom. A particular challenge was the strict separation of the IT systems to meet the highest standards of data protection and data security.

The challenge facing our client, the FAST-Schlaganfallnetzwerk (Stroke Network), was to ensure comprehensive 24/7 stroke care across the region. In collaboration with Universitätsklinikum (University Hospital) Heidelberg, avodaq has developed a solution that delivers neurological expertise directly to the patient’s bedside in the partner clinic using teleconsultation.
We were responsible for the planning and implementation of the entire video infrastructure. Through the use of mobile teleconsultation trolleys and a dedicated managed service, we ensure that this vital exchange of information between specialists runs smoothly at all times. With over 3,500 successful consultations per year, we are making a decisive contribution to the digital transformation of the healthcare sector and to patient safety.
