Increased Network Security through IT and OT Segmentation

For this customer, we implemented an extensive network segmentation in the IT and OT environment with Cisco ISE and Cisco switches at all sites. Only devices that fulfil specific security requirements and authenticate themselves via certificates are allowed access to the network. In addition, Fortinet firewalls specifically control communication between the networks, thereby achieving a higher level of security. Especially for OT devices in production that no longer receive regular updates. Our firewall analysis has made previously unknown communication flows visible, allowing the implementation of specialised security measures. Thanks to the network expansion, the customer will be able to create security segments automatically in future and protect devices even better – a good base for future technologies.

Secure Network Connection with SASE

We implemented a secure and flexible network solution with Cisco Secure Access for this logistics customer. By using VPN as a Service (VPNaaS) and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), we realised highly secure and user-friendly access to company resources. Firstly, encrypted data tunnels were set up for internal and external locations. We then migrated the existing VPN to the Cisco Secure Access Cloud and integrated existing security policies. Following the gradual introduction of ZTNA, we established a finely tuned access control system that optimally combines security and user-friendliness. The result: a future-proof, cloud-based security solution that protects company data and relieves the workload on IT administration.

Healthcare - Remote and Secure Access to the Internet

We realised a secure solution for Internet access for remote employees for a high-care hospital. Previously, the diversions via the internal network led to long loading times, especially when working with large image files. In workshops, we worked with the customer to develop a target architecture that integrates seamlessly into the existing network and security infrastructure. The focus was on solutions that can be managed centrally and reliably deliver telecommunications data to the XDR and SOC system. Today, remote users access the internet directly and securely – protected by DNS security and centralised guidelines, without any loss of performance due to backhauling.
