avodaq meets you 2023

What a day! On 21.09.2023 avodaq meets you took place in Frankfurt, our biggest event of the year. With around 85 participants, we spent the day with intensive networking, exciting panel discussions and outstanding tech presentations.

The Opening

The audience was welcomed to the DesignOffice Wiesenhüttenplatz by COO Marc Schmidt, who gave an exciting opening keynote on the topic of “Digital Transformation in IT Infrastructure”. He made it clear that companies must be brave and not be afraid of digitalisation. The current economic situation and resource-reducing factors such as the shortage of skilled workers are an opportunity to reorganise one’s own IT infrastructure and to increasingly rely on automation, managed services and artificial intelligence. All these topics were also reflected in the following speeches and presentations.

A wide-ranging programme

Throughout the day, the guests were able to put together their own agenda from a variety of management and technical sessions. In the management sessions, there were interesting discussions about the importance of IT security strategies in interaction with cyber insurance as well as about new work concepts in the lecture “From Office to Experience”.

The panel discussion “Future Skills – what do we have to (un)learn” was certainly a highlight of the day. Moderated by Merle Rüter (avodaq), her guests Bettina Reichart (Lufthansa Group), Katrin Hartmann (Cisco) and Dr. Michael von Wagner (Uniklinikum Frankfurt) spoke about the challenges facing employees and employers today.

The role of appreciation and the different approaches taken by the companies were discussed in detail. The topic of AI was also addressed and all participants agreed that it can be used as a complementary factor to the human workforce, but will not completely replace it.

There was a deeper dive in the technical sessions. The presentations ranged from collaborative intelligence, automation through software innovations and managed services to automated reactions to IT security incidents and zero trust networks. Not only the avodaq specialists shared their knowledge. The partners Cisco, Five9 and Fortinet also gave expert presentations on their special service portfolios.

Time for networking

The event thrived on intensive exchange between the participants. There was an opportunity for this in the networking area, among other places, where a special partner fair was held throughout the day. Cisco, Five9 and Fortinet had the opportunity to present their technologies to interested parties and give exciting demos.

For the closing keynote, stock market expert and journalist Markus Koch was connected live to talk with CEO Andreas Kusch. He took the audience to the floor of the New York Stock Market and discussed exciting topics on tech stocks, current IPOs and the general economic and geopolitical situation of Europe and the USA with Andreas Kusch. The informative part of the day ended late in the afternoon to much applause.

Afterwards, we went to the roof top terrace of the location for a relaxed barbecue buffet and cool drinks. In front of the Frankfurt skyline, the day ended in a relaxed atmosphere with many new impressions, insights and new contacts.
