Hamburg, 8. October 2026 – Quality has been a core commitment at avodaq since the company was founded in 1997. With its certification to ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management), this commitment has now been independently audited and confirmed. For customers and partners, this provides a solid basis for reliable performance and sustainable business practice. Both standards complement avodaq’s existing ISO/IEC 27001 certification (information security).
The certifications underline avodaq’s strategic development into a technology leader in artificial intelligence (AI). The two go hand in hand: AI can only be deployed effectively when processes are clearly defined, responsibilities are clearly assigned and workflows are standardised. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 create these conditions, safeguarding quality and consistency even as services and technologies evolve.
ISO 9001 Combines Quality, Customer Focus and Continuous Improvement
ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for quality management systems. Its aim is to continually improve processes, products and services and to meet customer requirements consistently over time.
For avodaq, certification means that customer requirements help shape how its own processes evolve, risks are identified early, and the quality of its services is regularly reviewed and improved. For customers and partners, this translates into reliable service delivery to consistent quality standards, transparent processes, and greater clarity and predictability in working together.
„Quality doesn’t come from documents or audits alone. It comes from the day-to-day work of many people who take responsibility and keep developing. We are especially proud that the high standards we set ourselves and strong teamwork have enabled us to achieve this result together.“
Merle Rüter, Quality Management Representative and Organizational Development Manager, avodaq AG
ISO 14001 Brings Transparency to Environmental Responsibility
ISO 14001 is the internationally recognised standard for environmental management systems. It helps organisations manage environmental aspects such as resource use, energy consumption, emissions and waste systematically, and continually improve their environmental performance.
At avodaq, this includes the careful use of resources and energy, compliance with relevant environmental and regulatory requirements, and the early identification of potential risks. For customers, partners and public-sector clients, it provides evidence of structured environmental management – for example in tenders and supplier selection.
„For us, environmental management is above all about systematically recording resource consumption and emissions at our sites, rather than looking at them on an ad hoc basis. We have already implemented initial measures and now intend to expand them step by step.“
Stefan Meyer, Environmental Management Representative and Senior Service Delivery Manager, avodaq AG
One System Instead of Three Separate Certificates
With these certifications, avodaq now has a single management system that governs all three areas together. This gives customers and partners a consistent, verifiable framework for collaboration – whether the focus is on information security, service quality or environmental responsibility.
„For avodaq, quality has never been a matter of certificates. It has been part of our corporate culture since the company was founded and is the foundation of the trust our customers place in us. With ISO 9001, we are now having this commitment independently confirmed as well. ISO 14001 extends our understanding of quality to include responsibility for the environment. Both standards support our continuous development“
Marc Schmidt, COO, avodaq AG
