The SICK Supplier of the Year Award 2026 honoured avodaq in the ‘Excellent Performance Indirect Procurement’ category. The award recognises a partnership that has grown since 2017 – and demonstrates what can be achieved through shared commitment and mutual trust.
SICK AG is one of the world’s leading providers of sensor-based solutions for industrial applications, with around 12,000 employees, 60 subsidiaries and its headquarters in Waldkirch in the Breisgau region. The collaboration between avodaq and SICK AG began in 2016 and has since resulted in a large number of joint projects. Perhaps the best known is the SICK Sensor Intelligence Academy (SIA) – SICK AG’s global training and development centre. Across more than 7,700 m², over 31 rooms have been equipped with conference and video technology from Cisco: training rooms, a showroom and an auditorium with around 160 seats. From there, workshops are broadcast live to all SICK sites worldwide. Building on this foundation, avodaq has also worked with SICK to rethink the office environment at the headquarters in Waldkirch – today, there are over 150 rooms designated as flexible offices.
avodaq is currently supporting SICK in the development of a new campus in Malaysia – supplying network and collaboration technology. This project takes the partnership into a new dimension: international in scope and, for the first time, with a clear focus on network infrastructure.
